I spent some time the other day going to Matka Lake. It is very close to Skojpe, and it is beautiful. I heard it is very busy on the week-end so I went on Monday. It is very cool. For visitors you park about 1/4 mile away and walk up the river to the damn. You go up and it is cool and great.
I took a boat to see the lake and it is impressive. The cliffs and walks are very cool. I ate at a little restaurant on the lake. It was the most expensive lunch I have had here (like $20).

ON the way back down I took a rest along the river. And I saw something crazy. I have included the video here. These kids jumped off the bridge and swam / were swept up down this river that I would never go down. It was very cool.

ReplyDeleteI know, right? I was afraid he was going to drown and I could not save him. But not only did he make it, he shamed the older boys into doing it themselves.
