There is a story about rewilding a farm in England that is great. One man had a farm about 50 miles north of Cambridge England. His family had farmed the land for generations.
But, a little over a year ago, the farmer with small children decided to rewild it - that is let it turn back to nature. It has worked amazingly. Roe Deer, Barn Owls, Chinese Water Deer (Vampire Deer), Corn Bunting birds and many others are thriving and coming back in numbers not seen in decades.
After a year of rewilding, he let in wildlife photographers and these are some of their pictures. For captions see the article.
Now this is a good retirement project.
