Lynn and CNN think alike. Both were saddened to see the disparate treatment of minorities during the Black Lives Matter protest in DC (that didn't cause problems or looting) and white people during the insurrection, looting and vandalism at the Capital.
Everyone you saw in the shit show on Jan. 6 was white. Imagine watching it if you were black. I know I didn't think about it at the time.
Here's an example of what you might have been thinking if you were black:
Michelle O'Bama: "What if these rioters had looked like the folks who go to Ebenezer Baptist Church every Sunday? What would have been different?" the former first lady asked in her statement. "I think we all know the answer," she said.
Joy Reid: "If that was a Black Lives Matter protest in D.C., there would already be people shackled, arrested or dead."
NAACP Twitter account proclaimed after the storming of the Capitol> "They've killed us for less!"
Biden got it: "No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldn't have been treated very, very differently than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol. "We all know that's true, and it is unacceptable."
There's been some mention of it on the national news, but maybe (probably) not enough.
