Alaska is Beautiful

The NY Times has an article about setting off across 500 miles (833km) across northern Alaska. It is covers the state of Alaska and how climate change has affected the landscape. But even the editors and writers cannot hold back from the beauty of the place. It is one of those places I don't think I will ever see.

It is probably unlike any place else in the world (and I mean the entire area through Northern Canada too). It is vast in a way that other similar regions in the Nordic countries are not. It is about as empty as anywhere on earth. And it is beautiful.

I don't want to harp on the effects of climate change here. I just want to admire the beauty. The story is HERE.
