Someday in Extremadura

In my never-ending list of places I want to go, Extremadura in Spain is high on the list. It is a region about 1/2 way between Lisbon and Madrid, extending along the Spanish / Portuguese border. It isn't overly touristy and comprises small towns, villages, and Moorish castles.

I think a trip through the region would be very very cool. However, I might get tired of Castles and ruins.

Here are some highlights:

Jarandilla de la Vera in Cáceres:

Castle of Belvís de Monroy

These are from the time that Islam ruled Southern Spain. I think the area is cool looking.

What is too much Taylor Swift

This much ... when the singer is used to send a message about POSSIBLE future problems?
