There are a few things that many Americans (both blue and red) tend to agree on. Providing some kind of "national service" is a good thing. This can be the military, community service, or even habitat for humanity.
President Biden has announced a new initiative called American Climate Corps. It is a descendant of the Great Depression-era Civilian Conservation Corps and later state services like the California Conservation Corps.
Per the President
"... administration officials said the program will employ 20,000 people in its first year. These recruits, they said, will be “doing the important task of conserving and restoring our lands and waters, bolstering community resilience, deploying clean energy … implementing energy efficiency technologies that will cut consumer costs for the American people, and advancing environmental justice.”
