Don't allow yourself to be heard any longer gripping about public life, even to your own ears.
Marcus Aeruluis
The meditation here is not focused on the very public life that you complain about. Focus instead on what that griping has done for you. In relatively few cases, it moves us to action.
But much more often the result is that complaining about things you have no control over is a waste of time, effort and raises negativity.
Wow, a lot of these are tough for me.
But it can be cathartic.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. In a "Stoic's" view - I think that response is fine, as long as you don't let the problem stop you from recognizing how you respond to it. You (Lynn) often acknowledge a problem, perhaps rage for a while and then you try to effect the outcome as much as you can.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, like your work with hurricane victims, you find a way to cut through rage to do something.
