I have never seen a place like Hercaclea Lyncestis. It is an excavated Roman city. It is (rightly) famous for mosaics of the 4th and 5th centuries.
The mosaics are in super shape after 1,700 years! They can date it via carbon dating, but even easier are the mosaics of the Garden of Eden.
Under the floor of the ancient Basilica is the agora - or market. The basilica is slightly raised so the agora is in the shade and keeps cooler.
1 final one for me - ducks!k

Finally, this is the theater
Ok, that wasn’t final, but this is. This is. The common water holder / fountain. With worker tools and pavers to it in front.
