Example of the decay in Skopje

I did say that the buildings in Skopje were made to look like marble, but it was either cheap marble from Turkey, or not marble at all. This will show what I mean. 

The picture above is the new location of the Legislature (their Congress). It looks fairly impressive, right?

Well the picture below is from underneath the overhang. That is mold on plywood covered in chipboard - which is painted to look like marble. Apparently the legislature doesn't like meeting in that building. In the winter it leaks, in the summer it is stifling, and 24/7 they are afraid it will fall down upon them.
