That is a comment made by a new candidate for Michigan Senate. It is news because many of the other Republicans in the state have disavowed this comment, just like they did when he endorsed killing Joe Biden, Boris Johnson, Anthony Fauci - among others. They haven't told him to quit, just to shut up.
His rape comment was actually made when talking about the impossibility of overturning the 2020 election, even though he knows it was a fraud (it wasn't).

"Regan recently made headlines because of his comments about rape. He appeared in an online video with a right-wing group and compared people saying it’s too late to decertify the 2020 election to saying: “I tell my daughters, well, 'If rape is inevitable, you should just lie back and enjoy it.'”
Which I think is great advice. So great, in fact, he should demonstrate the inevitability and enjoyment as a possibility for his daughters. Let an unknown rapist fuck him in the ass, and then he can show his daughters how to lie back and enjoy it.
