A Republican candidate for Governor of Michigan has echoed want many politicians have said before. I say this because I don't believe most religious people believe this.
As I have said, I no longer want to individual affronts, because it makes me sad. But I am referencing it here, because it is a common refrain for politicians about rape - not just this one person. They are assholes.

She has said that raped women should be forced to give birth "... because a child is a gift God gave them." I think it is pretty shitty way for God to act. I am pretty sure almost all women who were raped do not believe that God was behind it.
And, I liked this cartoon, which reflects many of the loud, horrible politicians.
