Good God, I am tired of liars and their lying ways. Trump, Meadows, Elon and now Novak Djokovic.
In case you have ignored this (and why wouldn't you?), Novak, the number 1 tennis player in the world was granted an exception for going into Australia to play the open without a vaccine. Now, Australians have been under the harshest lockdowns in the world. Australians have been stranded overseas, unable to get home for funerals, weddings or just to get home.
But Novak got in.
AND, he got in by lying. On his paperwork, he attested that he had not travel anywhere for the two weeks before he left Spain for Australia. But, a lie. He traveled to Serbia for a commemorative postal stamp. Meet with kids and hobnobbed with the public.
He claims he tested positive on Dec 16th - only verification was a Serbian doctor's note - no back up. So, okay, on December 17th, while he attested he was in Spain, he meet with children. No face3 mack, no distancing, just fuck 'em all and fuck the truth.
I hope the lying liar loses. Loses his case and gets booted from Australia. If not that, loses early in the tournement.
