Some other Fascinating Baker Museum Items

Monday I posted about Marcus Jansen, the artist Lynn and I saw at the Baker Museum in Naples (Florida). I want to pass on a few other images.

The first two pictures are rarely seen paintings by Rene Margriite (the Green Apple in front of the Face guy). He plays a lot with metamorphosis, and these two are great examples.

Then we saw a weird wire piece that was kind of boring, until you explanation (read the caption).

It is called Mosquito - because lite correctly (as above) the shadow is a mosquito

Finally in the section of Art by Women, I found this piece and loved it. The color, the post realistic flatness and use of whimsy. Love it.

  1. I think Mosquito was my favorite just for it's uniqueness.

Sometimes I despair at age. But this gives me hope.

I mean, I don't want a child, but I think she is older than Tony Randel. Unlike Tony, she pushed this out!
