In the United Kingdom, many folks are surprised, nay - SHOCKED that they can no longer spend more than 3 months at their homes in the European Union. You see, many of them voted to leave the EU because they did not approve of “free movement” across the Union. In particular, they didn’t like having Polish shop workers, or Romanian janitors. But once you leave the union of free movement, the British themselves cannot spend as long as they like at their second (or in many cases, first) homes inside the Union.
If they think this is bad, wait until they are in the customs line with the Americans!
As for Australia. To make some money they sold one of the islands off the Great Barrier Reef to China. Now they Chinese landlords want the island. And they want it free of Aussies. Those same Aussies are now furious.
Be careful what you wish for.
