I know it is rather a local story, but I like it anyway.

A pair of bald eagles is in the mountains above the desert (Big Bear, if people know it). They have laid eggs for the last two years, without them hatching. The last time their eggs hatched was 3 years ago.

Well, two of the eggs are hatching this year, and the next cam has captured them. Cool.
