We all know I love Edward Hopper - or you don't. His most famous painting in American Gothic. I would show. it, but everyone and their sister have seen it. And I don't like it. (It is at the bottom.)
There is a show in Gloucester Mass that showcases Hopper and his rare watercolors of the area. Apparently he meet his partner/wife (I don't think they actually married) who helped him develop his distinctive style. Here is the web site if you happen to be in Boston in the next months.
