I have a serious soft spot in my heart for Rafael Nadal. He won the French Open this week-end and secured his 22nd Grand Slam victory. Two more than Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer - one of whom I do not like and one of whom I love; respectively.
But Rafa... he has been playing for 20+ years and this is his 22 overall win and 14th! at the French Open. And he looked great doing it. He has played tennis almost as long as Ed and I have been together. And Eddie and I watched him win in 1997 on TV in the desert.
So I love him.
And, I have a new favorite, Holgar Rune a 19 year Danish player. He looks and plays a lot my previous favorite, Lleyton Hewitt. (Not that I have a type).
Holgar and Llyeton share a lot: both are super intense, look outstanding in a hat and have great calves. Which is just like my Eddie.
