I am not alone, but that doesn't make it any better. I feel like announcing to the world that I am a recovering Political Junkie. I have lived for headlines (and stories) like these.
The past 5 or 6 years saw the perfect storm of unfettered internet access, political theater, lies and damn lies, topped with a generous topping of housebound in the last 18 months with nothing to do but doom scroll.
I am trying to go cold turkey. I will fail, but I will give it a shot. I am tired of being continually abused by the news and disheartened by events. I choose a happier life with the memory of a housefly.
