The sadness of Voting sometimes

Bernie Sanders has dropped out and it is sad to see twitter. Bernie folks are heartbroken. Many are bitter. I get it. Pete dropped out and I felt the same way. Except I was bitter at the state of South Carolina.

Sometimes voting sucks. My very very first national vote was 1980. I lived in California.

I voted for Tom Bradley, widely projected to be the winner. So widely, in fact, the "Bradley Effect" was coined for people of color that do great in polls, but then don't win the vote because of racial bias.

For President, I voted for John Anderson.

"John Anderson!" I hear you say. "Why? Wasn't it important to vote against Ronald Regan?"

No.

I voted in California, after work.  By the time I voted, Jimmy Carter, in one of the stupidest things ever, already conceded. It ruined the down ballot races and tossed the state apparatus over to Republicans (for the last time).

No point here, except sometimes voting sucks.
