Here we have the answer. For the cultists, it seems that China is behind all this.
First, there have already been Trump fan theories (Trumpers love conspiracy theories) that the virus is a chemical weapon designed by the Chinese that got out of containment. Why the Chinese would design a virus that only effects elderly and unleash it on their own people is ignored. Tom Cotton, that is Senator Tom Cotton, pushed this.
This kind of failed.
Then, the argument was that Covid19 wasn't really that bad. And it was Democrats and the "liberal media" building it out of proportion to hurt Trump. A rather unhinged rant by a Fox Blond newsreader is scary viewing here. She says it is another impeachment attempt - internal consistency isn't a big deal for Trumpers.
People dying have hurt that one.
Then, I SWEAR, there is the Trumpers / Q-Anon belief that this is a good thing. Key Republicans were self-quarantining, because they were exposed during the Conservative Political Action Conference meetings (CPAC). But Q-Anon / Trumpers were hoping the good guys (Geatz, Cruz, Meadows, etc) were out of Washington so Trump could close down the government of Democrats (haha or not?).
The latest is that the Covid19 virus is a ploy by the Premier of China to get back at Trump and / or destroy the nation. Seriously...
